"RECOMMENDED PROCEDURES FOR SUBMISSION OF REQUESTS TO THE
...ARCHITECTURAL COMMITTEE:
A - Advise a member of the Architectural Committee that you wish to have a structure
approved for construction/installation. [ The committee will meet as a group to consider
requests and should not be contacted, individually. ]
B - Be prepared to provide the following information to support your request:

A written request outlining the project.
 
2 -
 A diagram of your lot showing:
    a - The location of the structure in relation to your house.
    b - The distance of the structure from your property lines.
    c - The dimensions of the proposed structure.
    d - The construction of the structure including construction, materials and colors.
    e - A photo/picture of the structure, if available.
C - The committee will schedule a meeting to consider each request and may or may not request
additional information or a personal meeting with the petitioner.
D - If an application is deemed unacceptable, wherever possible, the committee will offer
suggestions for alternatives to make the project acceptable.

The Architectural Committee will always seek to accommodate the reasonable requests of our
residents but must also maintain the integrity of our covenants and consider the effect of their
decisions on not only the petitioner but also his/her neighbors and Glenn Meadows, as a whole.
F -

Depending upon the nature of each request and the availability of the committee members,
applications will be considered as quickly as possible and the petitioner notified, accordingly.
Note: The Jefferson County Building Commission advises that building permit requirements apply
to decks, garages, storage buildings, signs, chimneys, etc.. Please contact the Building Commission
to acquire a permit BEFORE starting project work. Permit rates vary according to project definition.
